Another day-trip today, this time by bus to nearby Lake Bled. When we left Ljubljana, it was par for the course: cold with dense fog. It seems that as soon as we get about an hour outside the city (both days) the sun comes out and we pick up about five degrees. Weird. But I digress. Lake Bled is about 6 km's circumference and has a walking trail all the way round that offers great views of the lake and surrounding area, including an island in the middle that is home to a monastery. The neat thing about Lake Bled is that the calm water allows for a near constant reflection in the water, so all of the great scenery is doubled.
