A bit of a mish-mash today, beginning with a run through a park this morning where we saw at least a dozen deer. It sort of felt like we were chasing them as we ran from one field to the next and they would scurry into the little bit of tree cover that was available.
In town we went exploring on foot, checking out the Nachsmarkt where we grabbed the necessary victuals for our picnic lunch. We strolled through a couple of city parks, stumbling upon what seemed to be a never-ending supply of Christmas markets, all handsomely outfitted with plenty of hot wine stalls!
Tonight we headed to Musikverein where we were treated to a performance by the Vienna Orchestra. The symphonies performed were by Brahms and Berlioz and the quality was outstanding. The facility was also top-notch, providing great acoustics and a beautiful setting.
Overall it was a great way to celebrate a special day: Nana's birthday! Happy Birthday Nana!

Mum Just letting you know that tonight I'm enjoying some very, very tasty fresh wholewheat sourdough bread. Wish I could share it with you! Loving your adventures - you are so very fortunate, hearing the Vienna Orchestra. It looks spectacular!
mom What a treat, hearing the Vienna Orchestra. Ben and i just returned from Bedford where we were treated to a Christmas Concert at St. Agnes Church. One of the presentors for the evening were The Halifax Boys Honour Choir. It was a great concert and a wonderful setting. I hear you've been invited to a similar event! We also took in the Muppet Movie, a lot of culture for Ben. Enjoying your postings. xoxo
