Day 139
We had to get the MRT and then had a long walk up Orchard Road to where we were getting the coach to Kuala Lumpur in the blazing heat.
We didn't expect to have food on the coach so we had brought some munchies: although we were pleasantly suprised by the quality of the coach and to be provided with a packed lunch; although the packed lunch wasn't as good quality. It included a sandwich, drink, sweetcorn bun and a time out.
Half way we stopped off at a service station for a toilet stop and some food. Both of which weren't great; you could smell the toilets in the restaurant area, the women's toilets were in the ground with a hose instead of tissue. As the food didn't look good we decided we couldn't go wrong with chips.
After a 40 minute break we walked back to the coach with our continued 'weird looks' off the locals, due to being white. One mother even pulled her childs head away from staring at us.
We arrived in KL late at night and the coach driver did not even know where our hotel was, we were beginning to think whether it even existed too. Finally, we arrived at the hotel, which was a nice change from the grotty hostel in Singapore, an added bonus was that we were even upgraded.
