Hiya! Ya alright?? Hehe after 4 months in England the English is startin to come out!! J .. They use it all the time.. and I never know how to answer, it kinda goes into one word when they say it aswell.. "yalright" and your like "...umm... yeah??.... How are you??" ...Is that the right response? or do you say "yes" and then return the "yalright?" These English people are weird. And they use it all the time, you'll be walking down the street and randoms will just yell a "yalright" at you, while your walking past. You walk into the office or at the shops and that's how ppl greet you "yalright".. Whats wrong with a good ol Aussie "How you going?" (& I hope you read that in a super Aussie accent J ) You can't go wrong with the "How you going" there's an obvious response...
.. Now that Im over that.. Hope all is well in the land of Oz. A fair bits been going on over here of late, bit of sight seeing, bit of partying, working hard.. No your right.. I'm hardly working.. I'm to efficient for these English people!! Never much to do.. Anyways thought I'd post a quick blog thanking everyone for the birthday wishes and the presents!! Loved em!! I was afraid I wouldn't enjoy my birthday this year, being away from the fam, no special home made pancakes from Aimsley and all the other awesome things my birthday is at home in Oz. But even though it was definitely no Aussie birthday, it turned out pretty good!! Steph messaged me right on midnight Australian time (3pm September 1, UK time) to wish me a Happy Birthday, then the Camden Crew minus me obviously (the Camden Crew is what the Topdeckers call Panda, Derek, Steph & I), bought Champagne & Birthday Cake & Kickass Presents, so we had a lil party on my Aussie Birthday!!! Then UK September 2, I woke up to phone calls from home & a few more presents!! Went to work where Michael had a sent a bouquet of Lilies (Ni-ce!!), then my birthday night the Camden Crew headed to see Wicked, our very first London West End Musical.. It was so good!! Loved it!! I know its West End, so obviously it's gonna be better then anything you see in Australia, but I can't get over how good it was, and I'll never look at The Wizard of Oz the same way again!! Anyways just when you think you've read it all and you think my birthday celebrations are over.. youd be mistaken.. This Saturday as the last celebrations of my birthday .. we're pub crawling it Monopoly style!! Hells yea!! Dressin up too. We've got the mustaches, getting hats and coats.. we're gonna bring it!! J We've printed the maps, found the pubs and got directions, theres 26 stops on the Monopoly board and we're starting around 4pm so we're obviously not going to get to all the monopoly stops, but were gonna put in a fair effort and will hopefully have a continuation pub crawl in a few weeks to get the last of the stops on the board. Its gonna be so much fun!!
Umm what else.. ooh Steph and I took a commentated boat cruise from Big Ben/Westminter Abbey last week down the Thames to Greenwich.. home of the Greenwich Mean Time and got some snaps with the clock and on the time line and everything. Was pretty sweet. We went to the Royal Observatory and touched a 45 000 000 (I think it was) year old asteroid, which was pretty sweet. The views of London from the top of the hill were pretty sweet, and you could see the park below, which we were gonna chill in for a while, but we spent to long at the top and had to run back to the Thames so we didn't miss our cruise back. We then went on a mission to find some Pimms, which oh my god was a mission.. pretty hilarious.. but it ended happily as Steph and I had our first jug of Pimms, all I can say is Yu-um!! So I think that may be my drink of choice for the pub crawl!! J
.. What else.. Ohh Sarah & Steve landed in London last night. I catch up with them on Saturday.. Unfortunately I've had no luck calling Sars & Steve so far, so hopefully they'll contact me. I'm going to show them around Camden Town and take them to the Camden Lock Markets so that should be good & then they'll be joining us for the pub crawl!! Woot! I finish work at the NHS on September 19 L 2 weeks to go & then Michael (who arrives on the 20th of September J) and I will be travelling for 12 and a half weeks. We're unsure of all the locations at the moment, but Scotland, Ireland, Holland, France are definitely on our list & were trying to figure out how to get to Egypt, Turkey and Greece for cheap, we're also hoping we're not to early for the skii season in Switzerland.
Sars, Steve, Michael & I go on our Oktoberfest Roadtrip on the 26th of September!! & Aims and Dad both fly in on the 3rd of October & then of course Sars & Steves wedding on the 8th of October in Scotland. So everything will be happening soon, at the moment were just trying to organise it all. Crazy!
Anyways I better go, thanks again for all the Birthday Wishes. Had a kickass extended birthday!!
Ohh and Lady Furby Bruno Pudner has made himself a permanent resident of the Camden Crew flat!! Oh the humanity!!
Ps I wrote this yesturday, but couldnt post it.. last night i went to Harrods.. OH MY GOD!!! amazing... oh to be that rich!!
