Tuesday we slept in. Then visited the market for fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, anchovies, and lots of wine. We may have wiped out their inventory. Then we headed down hill, 3500-ish steps, to the beach for a swim. We didn't take towels thinking they would be included in the beach chair; we were wrong. Once we sat down the "captain", as he called himself came by to take our drink orders. He also surreptitiously sold us little cell phone holders that looked like tiny Positano beach chairs.
The water was COLD! Jean didn't care but everyone else sure did. We decided not to try to climb the steps back up so investigated the bus system; way too crowded and would have to wait too long so we grabbed a taxi up. Dinner was at La Terra at the tippy top of the mountain; disappointing food and service although expensive. We came back to our home-away-from-home to admire the almost full moon. Bella Sera!
