Day 164- The bus was picking us up at 8:30am around the corner so we were up early and waiting. Luckily we had no problems getting on and we were on the road to Mt.Cook in no time. Day 160- The Stray bus was to leave from a hostel down the road at 11:30 which was a bit later than usual. We discovered this was because the driver had already dropped off a group of people at Mt. Iron earlier so they could hike up it. We knew Stray did this as a stop which is why we didn't bother with it yesterday but because nobody from Stray informed us we now wouldn't have time to do it. Day 157- We needed a picnic for the day so we got up extra early to get it ready before the bus left, we boiled up some eggs and made some tuna pasta. We ate our breakfast and were packed up and on the bus first. The weather wasn't looking too good but we headed on to Lake Matheson.
