Day 90- We got the early bus to Brisbane and arrived in to the city at 9:30am, we were couchsurfing with some students and they were in the suburb of Herston so we jumped on the public bus there, which wasn't far. After a long and very hot walk uphill to their house we arrived outside beautiful 'Queenslander'- a one storey house made from wood and on stilts. Day 88- We awoke and had breakfast at which point Cathy- the house PA, asked if we wanted a lift to the bus station as it was so hot. We said we would be ok but she insisted so we were happy to oblige and packed our stuff into her little car. It was only a 20 min drive but once in the car the dashboard temperature gauge read 39 degrees so we were happy we took the lift. Day 85- Just before we went to bed we noticed our pencil case was missing from our bag and I remembered when we picked the bag up from the storage locker after our Fraser island tour it was open slightly.
