Lloyd and Eve go on holiday!
Day 164- The bus was picking us up at 8:30am around the corner so we were up early and waiting. Luckily we had no problems getting on and we were on the road to Mt.Cook in no time. We stopped off at a few scenic spots and bends in the road that gave us amazing views of Mt. Cook and stopped off in a little town called Cromwell for a lunch break. We arrived at Mt.Cook in the afternoon and checked straight in. We then got back on the bus and we were driven to a lovely walk which took us alongside and gave magnificent views of Mt.Cook. The walk took 3 hours and it was amazing to see the snow-capped mountain. We walked right down the glacial lake that fed from the mountain. The lake was grey from the glacial dust and icey icey cold. The most amazing part was the ice-bergs floating at the surface. Some crazy German lad decided to go for a swim as it was hot - not sure how he didn't die. Back at the hostel we knocked up some veg pasta and ate in on our balcony with the two people in our room. The two people from the room next door came to sit with us and we all talked for a few hours.
