Today was our sightseeing day! We walked all the way to the Sydney Fish Market with map in hand like proper tourists! We took a walk around the market and saw loads of prawns, octopus, lobsters and other weird looking seafood! We had some amazing fish and chips and ate it outside in the sun. I think it was the best battered fish I've ever had! After the market we headed to the Sydney harbour where we chilled by the Opera house. The Opera house bar was so busy and there was a live band playing outside with couples jive dancing. What a way to spend a Sunday! The atmosphere was incredible! We took a walk along the Sydney harbour bridge; the views over Sydney were stunning!
We walked through The Rocks market which reminded me of London. The pubs surrounding the market were so busy. I can imagine living in Sydney would be amazing in the summer! We popped into a pub which had a rooftop bar with the sun beaming down on it. It was buzzing!
We walked all the way back along George Street to our hostel. We were knackered when we got back. We cooked baked potatoes with beans and cheese. The most homely meal we've had since being away! Oh it was good!!! I got chatting to some German guys and a French guy who then shared their goon with me for the rest of the night. We also got chatting to some Australians who we later found out were going to Shore Thing festival for NYE too! So we arranged to pre drink with them before.
