The boys came to see us the next morning and the Chinese girl told reception there were boys in our room so they came up and tried to chuck us out the hostel! But Hannah sweet talked them so we could stay.
We cooked some sausages before leaving our hostel and went to a seven eleven to buy some bread to make sausage sandwiches. It was such a hot day! We got the train and bus to the beach. When we got there, the weather was so windy and cloudy!! We were gutted! We went and got some tomato ketchup from Macdonalds (classy birds!) and sat on the grassy verge making our sausage sandwiches. They were delishhhh!
We thought we'd brave the wind on the sandy beach afterwards. It was like a sandstorm!! The sand was blowing everywhere and the sun kept going in so we were shivering on the beach. We only stayed for an hour then left. We went to get the bus but there was a massive queue as everyone was leaving the beach. We must've waited over an hour to get on a bus!
When we finally got back to the hostel we got ready to go out as it was Friday night in Sydney! We cooked dinner, had some strongbows and popped next door to Scu bar for a free drink. We decided to go to Darlinghurst that night as we wanted to experience an Aussie night in Sydney! Scu bar was just full of travellers. We met an American guy in Scu bar who came with us to Darlinghurst.
It took us about 20 minutes to walk to Darlinghurst. When we got there I asked an Aussie guy called Angus where's good to go and he took us to a cool bar nearby. It reminded me of Mix bar in Reading downstairs and upstairs it was like a club in shoreditch. It had a tennis table in the room and a stage with a DJ on playing indie and old skool hiphop music. We thought we'd treat ourselves to a bottle of wine! Angus stayed with us the whole night and even invited us to Bondi beach the next day to teach us how to surf! He told me to message him in the morning when I was awake to arrange it.
