Woke up to another beautiful day. Although it was sunny there were a few drops of rain. We may get some rain today. It is VERY humid and a shower at this point would be welcome. Paul actually does have a job and had to do some work today.
Our private chef was at it again and made us another taste sensation with eggs, zucchini, tomatoes, onions, corn and oaxaca cheese along with fresh papaya and pineapple salad.
We accompanied Claudia as she did some errands and we did a little shopping. At a local mercato, I bought 2 summer dresses and a bathing suit coverup. While we were in the market trying on dresses it did rain but the humidity did not abate. Claudia was looking for an arm band for Paul's iPod and asked for one for an iPad. You should have seen the look the salesperson gave her! We had a good laugh about that. Then we went back to the condo and had some bevies. Paul was able to join us as he worked in warp speed when we were gone.
We've seen much flora and fauna and some local wildlife. The flowers are just beautiful here. They line the streets and homes throughout the area. The pool area has lots of geckos that move at lightning speed. There are also iguanas and the lagoon has crocodiles. In fact, yesterday a local man was drunk, jumped into the lagoon and was eaten by 3 crocodiles. This happened right by the upscale grocery store that has the wine vending machines. Both his legs were missing. Horrendous! I'll stick to the pool and beach, thank you very much.
I've talked a lot about the condo and how much we are enjoying our stay here. The name of the fellow that owns the condo and inhabits the penthouse in the building is Nick Petrovich who was the Mexican senior men's golf champion. He has a display in the penthouse of hundreds of golf balls from many different courses. He escaped a Nazi concentration camp and was a freedom fighter inYugoslavia (now Serbia). He also has 2 books written about him, one being "The Forgotten 500" by Gregory A Freeman.
Claudia has things to do tomorrow and Paul has to work (to keep Vic and I in the lifestyle we have become used to) so it is beach day for Vic & I.
