After a great sleep (no doubt with help from the margaritas) I was the first one up at the crack of dawn. I enjoyed a cuppa on the deck watching all the birds and just relaxing. After enjoying the solitude for a couple of hours I decided to go check out the pool and see what all the kids were laughing about.
I got back to the apartment just in time to let Paul and Coco (cutest dog ever) in for coffee. A while later Vic decided to roll out of bed followed by Claudia. We had a nice brunch of Cochinita tacos and fresh orange and papaya juice that Claudia made.
I got a tour of the penthouse where Paul & Claudia are staying. I was feeling quite guilty that they gave up their place for us but after seeing how they're "suffering" I don't feel so bad. The place is enormous - it goes the whole length of the building) and is all windows. The breeze is heavenly.
We made a Costco run to get wine (yes, wine) and a nice salmon to BBQ for dinner. I can't believe that Costco not only sells liquor but also has a Kirkland brand! And true to form they also have samples in that section.
We went for a short drive and got more familiar with Cancun.
Dinner was delicious! We ate on the deck and stayed up (again) to the wee hours chatting.
Claudia & Paul are treating us like royalty. I just might get used to this!
