This is our last day in Chicago. We decided to go to the top of the Williis Tower (aka the Sears Tower) to view the city from the highest point in Chicago. Today we woke up to a beautiful, sunny day for our Architectural River cruise. The weather couldn't have been better. We made our way to the Navy Pier to catch the first cruise at 10:00 am. Unfortunately, we just missed it so we explored the pier for a while and planned our day. The cruise was great. We saw the city from a whole new perspective. We learned about the Tribune Tower, Wrigley Building, Trump Tower, Marina City and more than 40 other Chicago landmarks...

First full day in Chicago. We started the day at a great bakery with a “Chicago Egg McMuffin” & coffee recommended by our concierge in the hotel, Arturo. He was a sweetheart. So, after getting sustenance (from Arturo’s recommendations) we made our way along the Magnificent Mile (Michigan Ave, which is not a mile but 3/4 of a mile and is the shopping area where you could drop a LOT of money) to hop on the “Hop On Hop Off” bus and tour the city for 2...

Well I wrote the whole blog after we got back from dinner and saved it but it didn’t save. So you’re getting the very short version. We didn’t have a great start to the trip. We missed our bus to the airport but managed to flag it down as it was leaving the terminal. So bad but then good. The airport checkin of bags was a joke. Air Canada sucks! Well, I'm off to Chicago this afternoon with a couple of my peeps for a long weekend. I've always wanted to go and my wish is finally coming true.
