After a fairly uneventful flight (phew!), we landed in Cancun and the adventure began.  Paul met us at the airport and we took a short drive to our residence for the next 12 days.  What a beautiful apartment they have!
The street Paul and Claudia live on is called Cenzontle which means mockingbird. They are quite rare and have over 200 "voices". A pair has babies in a nest right by the deck. I'm taking it as a good omen.
We dumped our bags and proceeded to have margaritas on the deck overlooking the golf course. I feel like I'm in heaven. After a couple of hours we proceeded to the beach and continued with the margaritas. They were good but don't compare to Paul's. We also had some guacamole and fish soup which is to die for.
After watching bungee jumpers and the locals for a couple of drinks…er hours…we came back to the apartment. Another couple (Cameron & Michele) and their 3 gorgeous kids (Cassius, Justus, & Angel) came by to say hola and we chatted until we couldn't keep our eyes open. Vic and I had a very early morning (early flight) and I'm sure Paul and Claudia have been busy preparing for our arrival.
They have lots planned for us and I can't wait to explore the area.
