Yesterday was great, after breakfast we set off to walk across the island. It would have been better if I had had my trainers but I managed to scramble, slide and jump my way down the cliff they called a path!! I have to say I haven't enjoyed a walk more since Hadrian's Wall. Sadly my trousers will have to be discarded as they ripped in a most unfortunate place!!
When we arrived at long beach we had yet another swim and then decided to go back - now that meant climbing the aforementioned cliff, in trousers that were no longer in one piece! We had been told of a boat taxi but it wasn't leaving until 3pm and it was still only 11am. Anyway he said he would do it for double price just for us - no we said we would walk. After some negotiation we agreed on the normal price and waded out to the taxi - Shiela was getting a little concerned that it would be a swim (she is only 4 feet 10inches tall). The journey back was lovely.
The afternoon was spent walking on beautiful beaches, swimming and eating. Ian and I then went for a coffee at the sky bar - see photo album. We had a couple of games of pool - I even won one.
At night we went swimming with the plankton - it is just magical. The more you move the more they glow.
If you want a little bit of paradise visit Koh Rong.
