hey everybody

right to pick up from where we left off last time, we've left Sydney of course on the OzExperience bus which was awesome. It firstly took us to Surf Camp, on the beach, about half way towrds Byron Bay. We arrived there in the evening and had a fantastic dinner and got rather drunk round the camp fire, we were guna head down to the beach and have a beach party but we just stayed round the fire. After getting to bed at around 3am we were woken at 6am to go for our very first surf lesson. It was pretty insane and we managed to get to our feet a few times, Liv more than myself!

We left surf camp and headed to Byron Bay. Our bus drivers, Firery and Diesel were awesome, they were really chatty and always up for a laugh, and we made some really good mates on the bus. The whole group booked a trip to Nimbin on Thurs, the drug capital of Australia, we all booked into the same hostel in Byron Bay. That night we all went across the road to a restuarant/pub/night club called Cheeky Monkeys, we all had a free dinner together and had an awesome time. The following day it was raining really heavily so we had a wonder round town, but just pretty much a lazy day. That evening i played some pool with the guys across the road and Liv played some cards with the rest back at the hostel. The next day we went to Nimbin, it was a time warp back to the 70's, the shops were pretty insane selling "special" cookies and cake. But we did go to the Museum, and learn some pretty iteresting history about the place. Our bus driver Ivan was pretty insane and he had a pretty good choice of music to play, and raced down the hill to the music, and we went to the jungle for the most amazing stoner safari at the crazy old guys house. Later that day we went to the cinema to see Shrek 3 and the cinema was housed by about 11 travellers (eating "special" cookies still) and the kid population of Byron Bay. After another free meal at Cheeky Mokey's Liv and our room mate Jen both found ticks in their stomachs, they were pretty freaked out about them, but they were soon removed. The following day we cycled/walked up to the lighthouse for some pretty spectacular views around the bay, and to see some dolphins playing in the waves. We left at 3pm for a 1 hour bus journey to Surfers Pardise, we arrived and booked ourselves in for a night at a pretty chill hostel, just on the outskirts, but there's free shuttle buses every so often to the centre, so it's not really too bad.
