We had to wake up really early and leave Wellington in order to make it to the ferry port for our early crossing across the Cook Strait to the South Island. So we left Rotorua and before we had time to settle in on the bus we were stoping at Te Puia, which was a massive geothermal reserve. We had a wonder around this park, with a guided tour from a very witty and interesting Moari, who told us all about the volcanos in New Zealand and how the Geysers and hot bioling mud which we saw was nessersary for the slow realease of the volcanos gases instead of an eruption!
