We arrived in the evening when we got to Wellington, we were taken on a quick bus tour of the city by our awesome driver Damo, gave us a heads up on where to go if we could fit it in. We only had one night here and it was pretty much over as soon as we got there and we had to be up early in the morning in order to catch the ferry across to the South Island. When we arrived Liv, Fi, Myself, Matt and Phil (2 really nice American guys we met) booked into a different hotel, we got a heads up from our gay friend Ben that it was a better hotel to stay in. So we booked in, chilled for a bit, got sorted out and went and toured the city of Wellington, it was a really nice lively town, lots of bars and clubs. We gave them a miss for tonight though because we had to be up so ealry in the morning.
Instead we decided to go out and grab a bite to eat, we were all starving so we decided to go to a mall, which had a massive variety of food places downstairs, it was really nice and yummy, Liv and I had some lovely Indian and the others got some Chineese. After, the girls, Matt and Phil decided to go and see the Transformers, but i wasn't feeling too great so i decided to walk back to the hotel have a shave, shower and freshen up a little and get an early night. I heard that i missed out on seeing the Transformers, apparently it's very very good, but argh well......
The following morning it was an early start, but luckily we hadn't really unpacked so we had a little lie in before briskly walking down the road to the coach, a short journey away and we ditched the coach, booked all our luggage in and boarded the ferry that would take us across the Cook Strait to the South Island.
So......goodbye to the North of New Zealand and welcome to the South Island!!
