Day 83 - 31st Mar Leaving Bundaberg tonight, but had the day to do our last tourist attraction in Bundaberg, and probably the best one… the Bundaberg Rum Factory tour! We went on a Gold Tour around the grounds of the factory, and got guided around where the rum was made and see the process of production. Was pretty interesting going around and seeing how the made the rum, especially seeing that since we had been in Australia we had pretty much not drunk ...

Day 82 - 30th Mar Had a pretty relaxing day, just went and brought some food and did some washing, then laid about the pool for the rest of the day. Evening was very different though, we booked to do a tour to see the turtles in the local conservation park on the coastal beach called Mon Repos. We had about a 40 min drive to the site; once we got there you get told about the night and what they hope you will see and a bit of info about the turtles etc. What y...

Day 81 - 29th Mar Had to say goodbye to our group in the morning, everyone was going there separate ways. We headed on the greyhound up to Bundaberg; coach was the same as usual boring etc. Headed straight to our hostel, which is really cool, it is an ex police station and prison so really interesting building. Still has the feel of a police station, which the same layout and even has a plan so you can see what each room originally was. Most of the dorm rooms...

Day 80 - 28th Mar Again up and active early packing up camp and taking down the tents etc. Plan for the day was to head south to get the ferry back at 11; well this is what we were told to do. Had loads of time before the ferry, so everyone headed to Lake Wabby, which is a really nice lake, but you had to walk 40 mins to get there through the rainforest and over sand dunes. Day 79 - 27th Mar - Happy Birthday Daniela!! Managed to blow some balloons and put them into the van ready for when we were driving around, but the morning was so rushed and we all had so much to do packing up and making breakfast. We hit the road as soon as we could, and headed up the beach towards the top of the island called Indian Head.
