Day 20 - Today we go back to Beachcomber in the afternoon so until then we just sorted ourselves out and spent some quality time in the Hammocks (seems that we have done this pretty much everyday…oh well). Midmorning we had signed up for a weaving class with one of the local women from the village, she turned out to be 8 months pregnant and about to pop. She was lovely and so patient with us three liabilities trying to weave a bracelet each. Very proud of the finished article, think we all did rather well in the end, natural talent in weaving has emerged from us all. Back to Beachcomber and the mice, although some benefits like decent showers and mirrors. This was the point when we first heard the mention of a hurricane/cyclone. Had a pretty good night at Beachcomber, way better than before, played a few drinking games with some people we met and started to understand all the previous comments about it being the party island. This carried on until about 11.30pm when we had a brief announcement saying that a hurricane was on the way and that for our safety (this was only for the girls) they were moving us out of the dorm and into the bures on the island. This did not include any of the blokes who were left to stay in the dorm which had no windows, or doors, and barely had any walls! All became rather scary and serious very quickly, but exciting at the same time. After our relocation there wasn't actually much we could do, and it was pretty windy so hard to sleep, so we just went back to where we had been before and carried on chatting etc to everyone.
