Hey! we have been in Florianopolis for 3 nights now and its been great, we don´t want to leave!

Day 14: Arrived in Florianpolis around 10 and took a taxi to the Hostel and we had the best taxi driver. He didn´t care that we don´t speak a word of portuguese he showed us all the sights of Florianopolis! The Island is beautiful, incredible lagoons surrounded by green hills and all around the coast is white sandy beaches. We are staying in a place called Barra da Lagoa, which is a little fishing village with an amazing beach! The Hostel we are staying in is really good! its really social and the food is great and cheap!

Day 15: today we went down to the beach where we are staying and our new found friend Brenda the dog followed us! Brenda is a dog that lives at the hostel! The beach is great, as its a low season its really quiet. Later we walked along the beach a came arcoss a turtle sanctuary so went in there. Then we took the bus to lagoa, the centre of the island where the lagoon is and walked down to the beach there which is miles of sand dunes. Later in the evening we had another great dinner in the hostel and stayed up with some people we met in the hostel playing cards and drinking, it was a great night!

Day 16: we took the bus into florianopolis, the city, to look around and book our bus tickets for rio! Another 18 hour bus journey tomorrow! Florianopolis is nice bus the rest of the island is nicer. In the afternoon we went into lagoa again then chilled out in the hostel for the rest of the day and night! We had the best seafood paella! The food here has been amazing, we have eaten so well! I think florianopolis is a place we will have to come back too and definately back to the hostel!

Day 17: another 18 hour bus journey to rio! Its going to be long but cant wait to get to rio!
