Day 56: we arrived at San pedro, a small town on the the island of ambergris, one of the islands that make up Belize, around 5:30. We just made our way to our hostel after settling in we went out for some dinner. Then headed back to the hostel bar for a few drinks. The bars Walls are lined with jägermiester bottles because the owners gives everyone a free shot. So after one or two or maybe three free shots and a couple of beers the only thing we were ready for was bed!
Day 57: today we just relaxed, explored the island for a while and sat on the beach. The beaches are the best for swimming because there is sea grass all the way up to the shore but it does mean there are lots of fish and even stingrays come right up to the shore line! Later in the afternoon we chilled by the pool at the hostel.
Day 58: today we had another snorkelling tour booked. This one took us out to the barrier reef just off the coast of the island. This reef stretches all the way from Mexico down past Belize and to honduras, it's the se nod biggest in the world but said to be the most beautiful as the great barrier reef is now dieing but this reef is growing and getting bigger. The reef was great we some huge fish along with a barracuda, sea turtles, giant eels and sting rays. The reef it's self was also beautiful. We then headed over to shark ray alley a place full of massive sting rays and nurse sharks. When they hear the sound of the boats they come swimming around the boats, it's scary getting into the water with them, but it was good and when they realise you have no food they disappear. In the evening we just had some food and drinks in the hostel then got an early night!
