Day 40: after a 10 hour bus journey from cusco we arrived in Arequipa around 6:30am, we headed straight to the hostel but couldn't check in til 11 so went for a look round the main square which is very beautiful. Day 34: we woke at 5:00am for our first day of the inca trail. After a hearty breakfast of pancakes eggs and fruit we loaded onto the bus and said bye to the lazy ones who will be taking the train to machu picchu, we will see them there in a few days!
