Along the way we stopped at a crocodile farm (that wasn't in the other trip, I got confused). Then stopped for some food and we'd got quite a nice group of people by then. Then we all got to Magnetic Island. Let's just say, the hostel was not nice. We didn't have our own bathroom to the dorm, the rooms weren't nice, The bunk beds weren't nice and I banged my head every time I tried to get up to my top bunk. There wasn't really much to do there either. We tried walking to a shop to get a few drinks but it was pitch black and was closed anyway so we went back to the bar and had fun just chatting on the beach and getting to know everyone. When I got to bed, having banged my head on my way in, I felt itchy, turned on my torch and there was a gecko staring back at me. Quite cute but not really what you want to see just before you go to sleep! Then yesterday we waited around and got the next bus which went to Airlie Beach, which is where I am now :) Oh and when I got up, I got my padlock out of my handbag to lock up my backpack, put it on but realised that it had reset itself so I couldn't get into my bag as I had no idea what the new combination was! Luckily the hostel had some clippers (something they actually did have) and they got it off for me. Quite funny really, not sure how many people actually get locked out of their own bags!

The hostel here is much nicer, we're all in the same dorm and it's good fun. We booked on to a fay trip to the Whitsundays and then just chilled out and went to the bar which was really nice. We had a few drinks prior to that by the lagoon and played some card games and stuff. At the bar we had a few nibbles and drinks and it ended up being quite a late one but good fun. I seem to have met people with similar interests he he.

This morning we got up for our boat trip and went around to 3 different spots. 2 of which we snorkelled on. We have to wear stinger suits because apparently there are some deadly jellyfish. It was stunning anyway and we saw some really pretty, some really huge fish! I have yet to see turtles or sharks which is a bit of a shame but I'm sure I'll be doing more by the end of the trip.

Tonight we're just chilling out and tomorrow a bit of the same before we head to a cattle station the following day for some cattle ranch fun!
