I arrived in Fiji after only a 3hour flight from Auckland which wasn't too bad. I got there late at night and had an airport pick-up for the hostel which was quite nice. Although the hostel didn't look much like a hostel and all felt a bit dodgy but I was leaving first thing in the morning so it didn't matter too much and I was only in the dorm with one other guy anyway. He had just come back from the same islands I was going to and had had a really good time so ...

That evening we just chilled out and chatted outside for a bit but I stayed off the alcohol. Then we had a stop off in Rotorua which has lots of geo-thermal activity with mud pools, volcanoes and just random grates emitting steam. It was really weird and meant that the whole town has a really horrible smell! Unfortunately it rained while we were there so all I did really was wander the town a bit with a friend, sit and have a glass of wine and some wedges by the ...

So we went for a walk in Wellington up to Mount Victoria, it was quite steep and a bit slippery but it had good views and we just lay in the sun at the top for a bit which was nice. Then we had some lunch and went to the museum and saw a massive squid and played a puzzle! Wellington was ok but nothing special and very windy. That night we went to Base bar for a 'few' for someone's birthday. I made him down his first ever pint of beer which is quite a claim to fam...

It's April!!! The month I come home!!! Crazy! Have had a fab time though and met so many nice people, it's been amazing! So that night didn't turn into a quiet one! We had a drink in World bar (or should I say teapot) but it was a bit dead so we finished that off and went to Base (Altitude) bar again and it was much busier so we stayed there with all the people from the other bus. I saw a couple of people from my previous travels again too so it was really good ...

I'm now in Queenstown which seems really nice. I'm on a bit of a tight schedule though so I haven't had chance to go to Milford Sounds but apparently, it's very pretty but dependent on the weather and I have seen a lot of scenery already so at least I'm saving a bit of money. I'll start with the hike which was actually really good fun. It was quite hard work and challenging but really worth it. Unfortunately it rained the whole day but it didn't matter too much ...
