I'm now in Queenstown which seems really nice. I'm on a bit of a tight schedule though so I haven't had chance to go to Milford Sounds but apparently, it's very pretty but dependent on the weather and I have seen a lot of scenery already so at least I'm saving a bit of money.
I'll start with the hike which was actually really good fun. It was quite hard work and challenging but really worth it. Unfortunately it rained the whole day but it didn't matter too much and apparently it made it more of an adventure he he. We basically walked on the glacier constantly from 9am till about 4.30pm, I was shattered. We went into crevasses which were really narrow and you couldn't quite stand up but it was fascinating. The whole thing was a really surreal experience but I'm so glad I did it. When we got back, we went into some hot pools which were amazing and so relaxing after the hike. There were 3 different pools, one was 36, one 38 and one 40 degrees. It got pretty hot after a while! After that, we went to the bar for a bit but I was knackered so I got an early night before the bus again the next morning.
From Franz Josef, we went on to Wanaka which was really nice. It's a really nice town. We went and sat by the lake which was gorgeous and then managed to get a free bbq, which involved us having to listen to someone talking about Jesus but it involved free food so it wasn't all bad :) By this point I realised I'd broken yet another camera (2nd so far) so I've since had to buy a new one in Queenstown which wasn't ideal. One of my friends did the sky dive in Wanaka so now I'm going to do one in Taupo, as everyone says you have to do it and I really want to (sorry Mum). That night we went for a few drinks in the Base bar in the hostel after having had a bit of wine in the room first. I think I got to bed around 3am again so I was knackered yesterday.
We got on the bus ready to come to Queenstown but had a few stops to walk around a bit and see another lake. They're all very pretty but all a bit the same and got in the way of my sleep, he he. After that we stopped off for people to do a bungy at the place where the first bungy jump was ever done. There was no part of me that wanted to do it, it looks terrifying but everyone seemed ok doing it. Then we got to the hostel in Queenstown and started having a few drinks in the hostel and headed to the bar for a karaoke night which was hilarious and really good fun. Another late one but good fun and I've met some really nice people again. Unfortunately I'm the only one of the group leaving to go to Christchurch tomorrow but hopefully we'll all meet up again soon. Tonight we're heading to the bar but probably keep it relatively tame and early.

Bex A sky dive! Who are you and what have you done with Lindsay? Heehee. Glad you're going to go for it. NZ sounds amazing, can't believe how quickly the time is flying! I'm on my train to work. Not jealous at all ;-) xxx
