Hi all, sorry it has been long time since we last wrote but we have been busy bees!
On Friday we went elephant trekking in the jungle in Chiang Mai, however the night before it decided to pour down with the rain so the ground was wet which was not so fun when the elephants started sliding around in the mud! Our tour guide was called Lightning (well that was the English translation anyway!), he was a good laugh so we have decided to bring him home with us!
While we was trekking with the elephants Jo fell in love with an elephant that threw some shapes on the dance floor, (for the oldies that means dancing!), and three amazing elephants that could actually paint better than Jo!
The other half of the day involved floating gently down the river on a bamboo raft (Tom was so disappointed that he was not going through the rapids on the fragile bamboo raft, Panda on the other hand was not so sure). The journey was very relaxing until everyone excpet Panda decided to get into the river (where you could not see the bottom, hence why Panda did not get in). Tom amused the raft steers by 'bombing' into the lake. We have a little souvenir from this trip for all you parentals but we will probably be home before we remember to send it!
The next day we all attended a traditional Thai cookery course, feeling a little worse for wear after another heavy night. The course was great, they took us to the market first and showed us all the different ingredients before taking us back where we cooked the meals for ourselves. The chef showed us how to set the house on fire by creating giant flames from our woks, Jordan was not very amused by this trick, check out the funny photos and videos (when we get round to uploading them).
On Sunday we had our first lay in of the trip (yey), Panda decided to stay at the hostel and chill while everyone else went to the Tiger temple. Tiger temple was amazing, getting that close to them was out of this world! We all went into the 5 month tiger enclosure and Jo, Jordan and Tom(and others from hostel) went into the big tigers and baby ones!Loved all of them, it was agreat experience!
Miss you all, speak to you soon,
Love the globetrotters xxxx
