We left Ko Phangnan in great trust with our hostel that we would have a safe, straight forward journey to Phuket. BUT no!! The first leg to the pier and back to mainland was fine. However from then on was a disaster. We got on no less than six modes of transport including a crazy man which eventually dropped us off at our new accomodation 6 hours later than scheduled.

The hotel however was awesome. We had a pool, fabulous rooms (with amazing showers and dvd players) and a very accomodating (gay) receptionist. He very kindly informed us that all services at the hotel were tventie fa hoawa (24hr) This made our very unconfortable travels worth while.

After we recovered, we made our way to Patong beach where the tsunami hit. The waves were brilliant!! We were suprised to see how well the area had been built back up after the devastation.

Nightlife-Very seedy but we managed to make the most of it. Which involved Tom giving a go go dancer a run for her money and a naked pool party (24HR!!!!!)
