Saturday morning - hopped on the train with some girls and decided we wanted to go to Cinque Terre for the day. We found a train to Monterosso, which is part of the Cique Terre - a group of 5 villages on the coast. It was definitely an experience taking the train... but when we finally made it, only 2.5 hours away, it was sooo worth it! Monterosso is incredibly beatiful. We decided that we wanted to stay over night, so we found an ocean front hotel room which was actually pretty inexpensive. We spent saturday walking around, looking at the sights and eating. The food was, obviously, amazing. Saturday morning we had breakfast at the hotel, and then set out to hike around. Monterosso and the other towns are known for their hiking trails. I of course, forgot to bring tennis shoes or shorts, so I had to buy some shorts, and the ugliest little boy sandals I've ever seen, but they got the job done. Haha. While on our hike, we realized that Monterosso was having a lemon festival - so we enjoyed all kinds of lemon-y things and it was amazing. Unfortunately, my camera died saturday night, so I couldn't take pictures after that, but when the other girls send me the pictures taken on sunday I will definitely post them. After hiking and walking around the lemon festival, we went kayaking - which was sooo much fun. They we laid out on the beach (and I had the best nap ever). After all that, we ate a little more, and made our way to the train station at 6:30. It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, so Im considering going back the last weekend - if I don't go to Paris. The people there were so nice, especially the owner of the hotel, who let us keep our bags there after checkout while we walked around, and gave us maps, tips, etc. I definitely suggest going there if you ever go to Italy.

Liorah Gramma! Thank you so much, I'm glad you were able to get on here and can keep up with my month in Italy! I'm having a wonderful time, but it would be so much more fun if all of my family was here, maybe we can do that one day. I love you very much, Liorah
