Another very hot day today, so first thing was for the children to cool off and jump off the jetty a few more times! Then it was time to leave Venus Bay and continue south down the Eyre Peninsula. A highlight of the road trip was seeing a lone emu out on the wheat plans - he started to chase the car too! We had a quick stop at Coulta on the way to Port Lincoln as it was close to 40 degrees. We found the Port Lincoln Tourist Park, and it's really nice - overlooking the water with a nice breeze. We quickly set up and enjoyed a swim down at the beach before taking a drive around the town.
There's a huge shipping port here in a massive bay, and lots of people were in the water cooling off. We drove around to the Lincoln Cove Marina and enjoyed some lunch at the Marina Hotel while watching some fishing boats come in (Port Lincoln is known as the 'Seafood Capital of Australia').
Once home, it was time for yet another swim to cool off followed by a relaxing evening.
