Nervous Turkey!
Loaded with a map of the city, we set off walking to see some of the Landmarks that KL has to offer.
Stop 1 - Central Market.
Stop 2 - KL Bird Park (The worlds largest free-flight aviary). After reading that this was a fantastic place for people who love nature, we were sourly disappointed at mistreated the birds seemed to be kept. Our decision to leave came as a child was allowed to chase and hit a peacock.
Stop 3 - The National Mosque. On entering the Mosque, we were kitted out in robes and a Hijab for Char.
The monsoon that swept the city drove us to the reggae bar while it passed. Then we had to make our way to TBS bus station to board our night bus to The Perhentians. This journey entailed, 3 trains, a 8 and a half hour bus, and a 1 hour boat.
Luckily when the bus arrived, it had the biggest armchairs that reclined...but we still didn't manage to get comfy! This was not aided by the constant snorts from the guy a few seats behind (and let's say he didn't have a cold!) and the bus drivers smoking onboard.
