Well I made it to Tanzania, complete with luggage! Everything went smoothly and the flight was early.
The hotel is very basic and I mean "very". Pretty much a bed and bathroom, but it's enough for a couple days. I was able to get about 5 hours sleep before breakfast. Met up with the tour company too, and exchanged some money. Pretty good to get over 300,000 shillings for $200 US.
I'll rest for a bit before I go on the spice tour I booked for this afternoon.

The spice tour was interesting, seeing all the different plants that spices come from, such as pepper and vanilla come from vines.
Later, I just went around town and happened across someone from the spice tour who showed me around a little. Turned out well since he was able to buy me some foods to try from the market, nothing too fancy.
That's about it. Pretty busy for day 1!
