Today we got up early again in order to get down into the crater early. We were ready to start shortly after 6:30. Our campsite was actually very nice writhing relatively clean washrooms and warm water in the showers. The drive down into the crater took a bit of time, about half an hour, but of course it was more than worth the time. There seemed to be more of an abundance of all types of animals in the crater. Today was another great day. We started early to catch the early morning activity. We were lucky to catch an active lioness with her 2 cubs which was phenomenal. The other main activity was catching the migration of zebra and wildebeest in various spots. It was amazing watching all the hoards of animals moving on the same direction across the plain. Serengeti, the endless plain. Sleeping in the tent was perfectly fine. I woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of hyenas and animals walking around. We left our campsite and drove to the Massai village. We were treated to dancing, visited one of their hits and learned of their lifestyle. Very interesting. It was fun and I was able to get some great photos. From there we drove to Serengeti by way of the rim of ngorongoro crater. Well, we started our safari adventure today. First we started by buying some groceries, water, etc. then headed to our campsite and with a tour of Mto Wa Mbu village, checking their agriculture and arts including woodcarving and painting.
