Today, I got up early in Jambiani to see the sunrise. At first I was disappointed because it was cloudy. But I persevered and I was disappointed with the beautiful light and the sunrise with the clouds over the ocean. I ended up attracting both Geoff and Karen who also came out to take some photos. After breakfast, it was packing and then the drive to Zanzibar airport.
The flight to Arusha was on a small plane with just one other single passenger and a Swedish family of 4 who thought they would be on a bigger plane. The flight was fine though quite a bit of turbulence coming into Arusha. I took some nice photos I think from the plane of the landscape and the great rift valley. I hope they turn out ok.
The hotel here is actually very nice. Much better than Stone Town. I am sharing with one other person, but I haven't met him yet. There's actually a restaurant and cafe in the hotel which is a bonus. and a shower with hot water and clean towels. Very nice. And the cafe has free Internet. Nice to get caught up as I update my blog posts.

We had our orientation for the safari today. 5 days away but it all sounds like fun. There's 7 of us and 4 are Canadian.
Time for the next adventure to start!
