First day of my Tanzania trip was one long time on airplanes and in airports.
Luckily, I was able to upgrade the flight from Calgary to Frankfurt, the longest leg. So I got some sleep:-)

I was worried about making connections, but in the end it worked out well. Right off the plane in Frankfurt and I got to the next plane just as boarding started. It was a good flight to Addis Ababa. Turned out to be a bit trickier to find the next gate in Addis Ababa, involving going twice through security and a bus ride between terminals. But I'm now en route to Dar Es Salaam for a short stop before heading to Stone Town in Zanzibar. So far, no problem finding people who speak English.

That's about it do now.
