Breakfast was late today so we had time for gentle jog down to the town to do a geocache and back up the hill in the warm sunshine. After breakfast we loaded up the van for our last trip down to Hermanus.
This was the place where whales can be spotted but apparently there have been few sightings this year and we were not lucky. The town was a busy tourist hotspot and a gentle walk along the coast to another top location restaurant for our last lunch together as a group.
The spectacular coastal drive took us back to Cape Town and some of our group got dropped at the airport whilst others were having an extended holiday.
We we're dropped at our guest house which was very good and had a nice roof terrace, but decided we should take the opportunity to getting the cable car up Table Mountain as the weather was good . So our host got us an uber taxi and we were delivered there in no time. The cable car was very fast and we we whisked up the mountain in a few minutes. We were lucky as it was warm and no wind. For several days the high winds had prevented the cable car working.
The views were amazing and there were lots of trails to different viewpoints.
We returned at sunset and also experienced the nighttime views of the city so we had chosen a great time to do the trip.
We got a taxi back to near our guest house but it was a bit of a dodgy area. However we found a suitable restaurant and then returned to our guesthouse for a drink on our roof terrace.
