The 30 knot wind that was forecast did not materialise, but heavy rain showers during the night gave the boat a good wash. The grey morning skies were not what we were used to, but after a while the sun emerged and we went for a swim after breakfast. Unfortunately Duncan slipped on the pontoon and cut open his head, but luckily no hospital visit required, a few steristrips seemed to sort the injury. There was the usual last minute panic to pack and clean up but we made it on to the bus for 11am. We managed to drink all the various bottles of drink that were on the boat whilst enjoying the last bit of hot sun outside the airport. Split airport was incredibly busy and not enough seats but we passed the time by writing the blog, and the youth played monopoly.
We all arrived home safely after a great week of sailing, sun and silliness. Duncan is now busy planning the next sailing trip.
