Soooo grateful for Aimee and Brian Zubowski for letting me stay at their house so I could go to EAA Oshkosh.
Brian had asked me what food I liked and I jokingly replied:-
Chateaubriand
BBQ meat (any kind)
Pasta (any kind)
Steak and kidney suet pudding with chips, peas and gravy
So he expertly and tastily completed my list except for the last item. (I'll have to send him a pic of that when I get home!) The tasty BBQ pulled pork took 9 hours in his electric smoker!
Aimee, in addition to being a charming host the whole 5 days, kept me supplied with beer and wine. Especially welcomed during air show days when I rested my weary legs.
Their lovely neighbours Dawn and Scott pitched in and made the stay complete. I particularly enjoyed Dawns happy smiling face and the occasional hug when Scott wasn't watching.
Scott was a Trooper of the Iron Maiden kind and during the stay, his colourful language added to the ambience. He was also gracious when he did catch Dawn and I having a hug! (I think he was trying to exchange her for beer or something- but my rv couldn't carry the amount of beer she's worth)
So y'all! I hope to see you in England in 2017.
But I defo will see you all again sometime.
Perhaps the Zubowski EAA Executive Hotel in 2016 will raise the airfares for you all!
