After threading the van through city streets, in bus lanes, cycle lanes and tram tracks we managed to park 2 blocks from Big Pink which is the US Bancorp building. Floor 30 is home to a grill bar and restaurant where we grabbed a reasonably priced coffee and tea. I left a tip of almost 50%! It must have been the height going to my head. Anna just placed the Oregon magnet on the map as the 41st state I've visited. Washington State tomorrow but first, we're going to visit the first geocache or 'stash' as it was originally called on May 5th 2000.

Today we found the plaque in memory of the first geocache 'stash'. It's where it all began on May 3rd 2000. That was when the U.S. Military switched off GPS selective sensitivity so us public could pinpoint a location down to a few feet. I took the flamingo to see it on its way to the MidWestGeoBash in Ohio.

Made it to my 41st state Oregon I have now travelled over 6000 miles. In the town of Springfield -yes of the Simpsons fame! Drinking locally brewed IPA beer from the Plank Town brewery. Repairs- the windscreen washers were not working so I had to buy some tubing from the aquarium section of Walmarts and some T-junction adapters from O'Reilly auto parts store.
