Hi all again
Been really busy over the last few days the 19th started off as a not good day i had booked a tour t take me to the River Kwai but me being me told him the wrong address to pick me up from but the place where i was staying helped me out and i managed to find the guy. so in this mini bus we pick up a Austrailan couple and German couple and a family of 5 that we Vienamise from Australia. we all traved about and hour and a half to the war memorial which is were all the prisoners of war who died while making the bridge were layed to rest,. this i one of three cemertrys and this one was huge. next was a trip to the museum quite shocking some of the picuter and how badly the prisoners were kept. Just around the corner was the River Kwai and the bridge. you can tell there are no health and safty rules out here as you were allowed to walk along the trancks which had huge holes on it with a 20 meter drop in to the river below. i didnt go that far down the track as knowning how clumsey i am i would have fell through. next stop was the trip on the death railway its self really good except the group of japaneseschool children blocking the windows but i met some loud men who got them out of the way so i could take some pictures.
Lunch was interesting we have it on this floting resturant where everything they served had rice in it. After lunch we went on a relaxing raft ride the current of the rivers is so strong the if you flote a bamboo raft on the river it doesnt take long to get anywhere. quite excided about the next stop riding an elephant quite cool they didnt look mistreated (some of the group went to see the tigers and it really upset some of them ho they wee rtreated luckly i didnt go there) after smelling like an elephant we went to a warterfull really pretty except for the hords of people there, the one i saw on sunday was a lot better. I stayed the night on the river in a floting hotel had a hard time sleeping as there was theis really noisy bird out side my room.
Sunday we travelled to Erawan Falls this is a water fall that is in 7 steps each step leading on to the next. it to us 2 hours to clime the beast though i was going to die at one point and i did fall down on the waqy down was funny though the was i fell at the top you can swim in the lagoon but you have to keep moving otherwise the fish nip your legs doesnt hurt but does make you jump. after the 45 min walk back don back to the floting resturant and a long drive back to bangkok.
I arrived in Bangkok at about 6 and my train to Chang Mai did not leave till 10 pm so of to the night market here they sell everything lots of silk, bags shoes, souverners, clothes, and lots lots more.
The train to chang Mai was overnight and i hasd a bead but being so loud i didnt seep much but tonight Moonday i have a room to myself and im sure it wont be long be fore i am a sleep just going to have a look the night market here see what its like.
Tomorrow i have booked another trip this time two nights in the middle of nowhere again i am going to be bamboo rafting, another elephant ride but this time i will be taking them for abath trecking to the hill tribe villages (going to be well fit and healthy by the end of thee year) and white water rafting.
I am not able o leave Chang Mai till Friday as i have to wait for my visa for vietnam to be processed. I will put another blog on then to tell you how the trip was. Fo some reason this computer will not let me put photos on to this computer so will try a different place next time.
