Got up at about 7.30 am and began the process of packing and getting ready to leave Milan. Went down to my lock bar for brekkie but It was not open sonI went back to the hotel to have a nice breakfast. Went back to my room, collected my suitcase etc and checked out of the Ibis CaGrande hotel. I waited in the lobby for Paolo to collect me at 9.00am. Today we are on our way to Malfalcone.
Paolo picked menup and we went to their flat to say goodbye. Said caio to Zia Gina, we loaded the car and left at about 9.45.
We arrived at Neda and Gian Franco's house in Pozzolengo for lunch. Nefarious is Zia Gina's sister. We had a great lung Sunday lunch, as follows: antipasto of home made peppers, salami, crusty bread and marinated artichokes. Prima course- taglatelle with a puréed vegetable sauce, cold veal with salad and cooked pepperoni, then came the roast beef and salad. OMG! We ate so much! We finished the meal with cheese and home grown grapes and of course coffee. We had a lovely conversation and then met their son Stefano. We finally left, after a tour of their farm, more coffee, and we finally got back on the road at about 4.15 pm. A four hour lunch!
We spent the next three hours or so driving straight to Malcalcone. We arrived there at about 7.30 pm and were in trouble from Zia Tarcisia.
We had a beautiful dinner of seafood risotto followed by a plethora of local seafood. We ate until we could et no more and then Zio Pinot drove us back to our hotel. I spent the night listening to dad who s'mores like a chainsaw!
