Had a great morning this morning - went to the bar for a brioche and coffee for breakfast and found a huge outdoor market in the street next door. Went for a wander and found a huge variety of fruit and produce, clothing and other things. Wandered around and then went to the hotel, collected my things and went to meet dad at Paolo's place. Dad was on his own as Paolo took Gina to the hospital. Dad and I went down to the local bar for a cofee and we stayed talking for a while so we also had a beer. An enjoyable way to spend a lazy hour or so.
Came back to the flat to find Gina and Paolo back from the doctors.
Had lunch and then went to town to meet Mauro. We went to a gallery near the Duomo and saw an exhibition of Artimesia Gentileschi, a 15th century woman painter who uses a style similar to Caravaggio. After the exhibition, we went to another gallery and saw a 9/11 photo exhibition-!it was incredible-very
Moving.
After the exhibitions we went and had a beer and some food at a small bar in centre of Milan, then we caught the Metro to Gabriela's house for dinner. Called in and pick up some wine, then enjoyed a lovely meal. Then came home to the hotel. Not feeling as tired tonight and hope to sleep well. Overall a very good day!
