Hi All,
A couple of days worth of touristy things to tell you about but first our tummys are fine. Now you can rest at ease.
Yesterday we were supposed to go kayaking, we were very excited for it and even got an early night so we would have plenty of energy. Long story short, our hotel room has blackout curtains so when we woke we just went back to sleep. 11am we eventually got up realizing what had happened. Ooooops
Not wanting to waste the day we consulted our best friend, the lonely planet. So off on a long boat to Railay we went.
What a day it ended up being, got to Railay and the island must only be 500m wide, but has 2 amazing white sandy beaches either side. But...... we didn't go for the beaches, so off to the cliffs for a climb we went. We got there and I started sweating just looking at the cliffs, because it was hot of course and not because I'm a scaredy pants. We went up one of the easier routes, this was still really tough (as its so hot) and when we got to the top the view of Railay and the surrounding islands were amazing. Next thing our friend(LP) told us to do was to climb down the other side of the mountain to visit a hidden lagoon. "A short and brief descent" it said. B*%¥®ks!!!!!! It was long, steep and high vertical drops.
Here is where I have to give Lauren some credit. We where passed by a few girls turning back, "to scary" and there bf's looking super pissed off that they had to go with them. After 45 mins of climbing we got there. It was so stunning and tranquil. We had it all to ourselves (maybe as it was so tough to get to). So we had a bit of a swim took some gorgeous photo's and when some noisy Dutch boys turned up and started splashing about we decided to head back. Back UP the mountain, as that was the only way. We were passed by some overweight Germans. It was abit like the church scene from 'in bruges' but we didn't say anything and pointed them in the right direction.
Finally we made it back to the main island approx 4 stone lighter due to the sweat, and just in time for our return boat. On the boat we were able to watch the sun go down over the limestones Karsts whilst getting ferried back to Krabi.
What a day we had and so nearly it was wasted.
Today, to make up for yesterday we set our alarms and got up on time. A light bit of brunch (food in Thailand is amazing, I'll go on about that later) and headed for the mangroves of Ao Thalane. In one word brilliant. We got to kayak through the mangroves, canyons, caves and lagoons that the boats cannot get to. So this was unspoiled Thailand. Beautiful it was. Full of monkeys, birds, water monitors and we where told crocs but didn't see any. The kayaking was tough in the sun and heat but was soo worth it. Me and Lauren shared a kayak, me the 'motor' at the back and her the 'steerer'at the front. We made it all the way around and into the clear blue sea unblemished. A star!!! Loads of photo's to upload. We'll do it soon!!!
The food here is so delicious! We are quite well placed as there are morning, day and night markets close by selling delicious very healthy Thai food very cheap. We've eaten at these almost everyday, it is amazing at the variety you can get. We've not had the same thing twice yet and as said earlier tummy's are fine.
It's around 9pm here now, and we are heading to koh Lanta in the morning so an early night with an alarm is calling.
Good night all
love Davie & Lauren

Tina Not jealous at all! Railay was one of my favourite places in Thailand, so chilled we ended up spending a week there! Lanta is great fun and if you get the chance there is some great snorkelling off the coast. Watch out for the cobras! Have fun guys. Lots of love. T, E, W and bump.xox
