We made it to Bangkok, just about!!! We tried to save money and get the bus to Khao San Road but it went a bit wrong! 3 hours, 2 buses and a very long walk later we found the hotel, needless to say we earned our Chang that night! The beer was enjoyed on Khoa San Road along with some pad thai and spring rolls from a street vendor.
Today we have been tourists and visited some of the sights in the old town area including Wat Pho the oldest Temple in Bangkok and also home of a gigantic reclining Buddha. We also went to the Grand Palace which is on the same grounds as Wat Phra Kaew, Temple of the Emerald Buddha. Both these Temples were pretty magnificent.
We weren`t allowed to go into the Palace grounds in shorts and vests, I`d come prepared with trousers in my bag but Davie had to hire some funky looking dragon trousers (pictures will follow!) He looked very fetching!
Anyway this was just a quick update to let you all know that we are alive and enjoying ourselves!!
