We had a slow start to the day today, trying to recover from our Australia Day festivities! It was boiling hot and sunny outside, so we packed our towels and headed to the lagoon to relax.

We lay on our towels under a tree to shade from the scorching sun, and swam in the lovely lagoon for a while - I wish you could do this in Boro to get over a hangover! We'd had enough sun after a few hours, so headed back to the hostel.

We had our free dinner in the bar (mince again!), and stayed on to watch Andy Murray in the semi-final of the Australian Open. There was a live band playing too, so it was a good atmosphere, but it was way to hot sitting there (it's an open-air bar), so we left to watch the rest of the game in the TV lounge. When we got there we found it was just as hot (no AC in common areas!), but there was a small crowd watching it on the TV, so we joined them. It turned out to be a stressful game, with Murray serving for the match near the end…but inevitably he got beat!

We were glad to get back into our air conditioned room afterwards for a cool down before going to sleep!
