Hi its Laura. its 12.23pm

I waited up for 2hours for my family to phone me, as have been missing them loads!
but unfortunatly some mis-communication meant they thought they were ringing me 10.00pm UK time instead of 10.00am Uk time. so when they do phone here in 5hrs tmie, we would have checked out to head off to beijing! good times ;)

have packed. my rucksack is too heavy to trek with. Will be sending some crap home asap! so expect that to be coming mom.

Random.. does anyone remember C&A? the primark before primark?? well shanghai is bumming the C&A! its fab!!

Whilst packing, i wastched some fabulous chinese orchestra type opera gig :) i feel so cultured and have gotta say that i have really enjoyed Shanghai! we have Finally got into the swing of things and have to leave again. We have learned how to cross the street (just walk out and zig zag around all oncoming 6 lanes of scooters), communicating by bowing, we even have a 'usual' on the the herbal tea list.
its been really good to learn and explore.. unfortunatly we cant get our videos to upload. sorry :(
