So we caught an overnight train from Airlie beach to Cairns, it was our last bus ride in Australia wohoo! But it was also our worse, it was absolute hell the bus was packed so you couldn't lie down and stretch out and the driver seemed to think that just because he was awake so should we. We arrived in Airlie Beach, and managed to book at cheap cruise around the Whitsundays at our hostel. So the next day at 4 o'clock we boarded our boat/yacht called the New Horizon and headed of to the Whitsunday Islands. My very wounded camera decided to stop working completely, so have very few pics of such a beautiful place. So we arrived in Hervey (pronounced Harvey) Bay got off at the bus terminal got picked up by our hostel courtesy bus and then was told by the woman that if we wanted to go to Fraser Island (the largest sand island in the world) on a Self-drive 4X4 tour we could leave tomorrow on special stand-by rates which we agreed to. Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast is the land of Sky Scrapers, and exactly what Forster is trying so desperatley to become. We arrived in Brisbane half an hour late and went to find Laura's Uncle John who had been waiting for us.
