We spent the majority of our time in Canberra defending our decision to come and visit it with the locals.
So we arrived on Saturday afternoon after Chris kindly dropped us off at the nearest Greyhound stop. And after doing a bit of unpacking we headed straight to the nearest pub. Which to our luck happened to be the best pub in Canberra called The Pheonix.
After a bit we were joined by 2 guys (one as camp as anything the other a macho army man) with a chess board, then we were joined by their hippy friends and a random custom officer. Sounds like wierd company and it was but ment we had a fantastic night.
The next day after nursing our heads we decided to hire really disgusting pink bikes to visit a market the other side of town. We're turning into some wierd cycling freaks. Unfortunately our bikes didn't work the brakes kept rubbing on the wheels so it constantly felt you were cycling with the brakes on. Luckily for us there was a nice man hiring bikes at the lake so we asked him to fix our bikes and he did.
Had great fun at the market looking around at all the lovely crafts with envy.
Spent the night at the hostel watching a film called ''Ned Kelly'' and being updated on Australian history and then watched Australian Big Brother it comes with an Australian Davina McCall and everything.
The next day we went to parliament had a tour and then watched the senators in session for a bit before heading for the National Gallery, didn't realised how the time had flown and then had to run back to the hostel to get our bags and catch the bus to Sydney.
