After spending a fair bit of money whilst being in Queenstown, we thought we'd best have a day just chilling out at the hostel. Alice spent most of her day in the room reading her book, whilst I watched the start of the new Muppet movie, until fellow TV watchers decided it was too awful to carry on watching, so we switched to Masterchef and then some girls put About a Boy on.

I woke Alice up probably a bit earlier than I needed to so we could give the van back, but at least we had plenty of time to move our stuff out and get it clean. First stop on the drive today was at Haast's Blue Pools, which you had to walk a 30 minute round trip to get to. On the way back, the woman from a French couple exclaimed "oh! We have your book". They had parked their van in front of ours last night, and Alice's Nelson Mandela's book must have fallen out of the door pocket when she closed the door (his payback for her comment about the sand fly torture?).
