I waited for Alice to wake up, and then we spent an hour or so hanging out at McDonalds, using their toilets and Wi-Fi, etc. We then went to the leisure centre to use their showers, and headed to the ferry terminal. We got there at 5.39, and check in didn't start until 6.30, and then we didn't get to board until about 8. We spent the time discussing what our top 5 chocolate bars were, and if we could make a hamper with 5 things in, what the 5 things would be. Apparently we left late because there had been a fatal accident on the crossing earlier, which meant we didn't get to a suitable car park in Picton to sleep until about 1.30 am!
